The traditional wine brand has unveiled its second limited edition, Gran Reserva Tarapacá Blend Series #2, which incorporates discoveries from meticulous research carried out on the soils of the El Rosario Estate vineyards: “Natural Clos of the Maipo Valley”.
Gran Reserva Tarapacá Blend Series #2 is the second limited-edition production from Gran Reserva Tarapacá, a blend comprised of the varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
On this occasion, Gran Reserva Tarapacá –the prestigious #1 brand in Chile in the Super Premium category– combines the essence of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from the Piedmont soil series with Merlot from the Ciruelo series.
“The volcanic origin of the Piedmont soils allow for elegant, delicate tannin formation as well as a velvety texture. In contrast, the El Ciruelo soil has a significant clay content, which gives for volume, roundness and unctuousness on the palate” says Sebastián Ruiz, Chief Winemaker for Viña Tarapacá.
The new addition to the portfolio from the winery with over 140 years of tradition is now on sale in the main markets, and will be soon available worldwide.
