During the 22nd Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2015 that took place at the beginning of this month, Viña Tarapaca’s prestigious Gran Reserva range stood out with Gold Medals for three of their acclaimed wines.
The wines were the 2012 Gran Reserva Etiqueta Negra Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2012 Gran Reserva Azul Blend from the fertile Maipo Valley, as well as the 2014 Gran Reserva Chardonnay which originates from Leyda Valley.
Over 8.000 samples from 41 countries had been submitted for the competition, which were then tasted by a select panel of 300 specialists. Among those were sommeliers, buyers, importers, journalists and wine critics from different nations.
The medals received during the contest represent a tribute to Viña Tarapacá’s traditional range “The Gran Reserva of Chile”.
Throughout its history, the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles has strived to be a benchmark for international wine competitions, eventually coming to be known as the “global tasting championship”. It is well respected by professionals and customers all over the world for its relentless search for quality wines, and also for uncovering the latest trends in the industry.
