During the 23rd Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2016 that took place at the beginning of this month at the city of Plovdiv, Bulgaria, the prestigious Gran Reserva Tarapacá brand stood out with Gold Medals for three of its acclaimed wines.
The wines were the 2013 Gran Reserva Blue Label, the 2013 Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2014 Gran Reserva Carménère originated from the fertile Maipo Valley.
Over 9.000 samples from 46 countries had been submitted for the competition, which were then tasted by a select panel of more than 300 specialists. Among those were sommeliers, buyers, importers, journalists and wine critics from different nations.
The medals received during the contest represent a tribute to Viña Tarapacá’s traditional brand “The Gran Reserva of Chile”.
Throughout its history, the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles has strived to be a benchmark for international wine competitions, eventually coming to be known as the “global tasting championship”. It is well respected by professionals and customers all over the world for its relentless search for quality wines, and also for uncovering the latest trends in the industry.
