The results of La Cav’s 2015 Tasting Guide have just been published, and Viña Tarapacá closes 2014 with excellent scores.
To begin with, Tara-Pakay -the icon of the cellar- achieved excellents 92 points for its 2011 vintage. A wine of great volume, with potent and mature tannins, and a lush, silky body. Its remarkable aromatic complexity features notes of cherry, blueberry and blackberry; cinnamon and nutmeg, along with smoky notes, and pure aromas of black pepper and dark chocolate.
On the other hand, from the traditional Gran Reserva family, the panel of experts also awarded 92 points to the 2012 Gran Reserva Etiqueta Azul. And finally, the 2012 Gran Reserva Etiqueta Negra Cabernet Sauvignon was awarded 91 points.
Thus, the recognized national magazine finishes consolidating an excellent year for the musts of winemaker Sebastian Ruiz, who recently assumed leadership of winemaking at the traditional winery from Maipo.
